At Embrace Space, we believe the key to feeling empowered is via knowledge and a continued learning journey. We have found that quality and trusted resources have been one of the most valuable tools at our fingertips to assist with our own processing and to apply within our homes and families.

Here we collate resources we trust and feel content to recommend to others. We prioritise Autistic-led resources and those which we can vouch for as authentically Neuroaffirming.

Resource library

Recommended Resources

Autism Level Up is dedicated to empowering Autistic individuals and their allies with practical tools and strategies. They provide a range of free and paid resources focused on sensory regulation.

Recommended resource:

  • Energy Meter: A customisable visual tool that helps individuals track and manage their energy levels throughout the day.

Books

We absolutely adore Melanie Heyworth’s books, “Remarkable Remy” and “Just Right for You.” They’re both fantastic books for introducing the amazing qualities and differences within the Autistic identity   and both promote acceptance of the Autistic neurotype in a positive and engaging way.

We would recommend these beautifully illustrated (By Celeste Josephine and Nathaniel Eckerton) picture books for your home collection or for educators to prompt discussions with readers 3 or older about unique brains and inclusivity.
